Geoff is Chair of the Private Markets Forum and the Senior Independent Director of PIMFA, the trade body for financial planning and wealth management.
He brings over 35 years of wealth management and investment services experience including leadership roles at Citibank, Legal & General and Barclays International Funds Group. He was the first chief executive of Standard Life’s platform business. More recently he served as CEO of BNY’s Pershing business in UK and Europe for six years.
Since stepping down from Pershing, he has specialised in various advisory roles for fast growing, usually PE backed, firms. Overall, he has worked in financial services in some 20+ countries and has experience in a wide variety of regulatory and business environments.
Geoff has a particular interest in some of the more complex areas of diversity and inclusion and, in particular, in unconscious bias and how we can overcome its effects. Geoff served on the advisory board of the City of London Social Mobility Task Force.
Edwin is a Corporate Solicitor with JMW Solicitors and also Chartered Accountant. He has over 30 years’ experience in private equity, venture and development capital, acquisitions and disposals, equity capital markets and all matters corporate. Edwin spent more than a decade as a principal investor at UBS Capital.”
Andrew is the founder of InfinitX and Director of JP Jenkins. With over 15 years fintech experience, focussed on equity and derivatives trading & portfolio management. Andrew holds an MBA, with a specialisation in financial markets and stock exchanges.
He is the current Head of Execution Services at Winterflood Securities, with a career spanning 25 years, predominantly on the Sell side. Andrew has previously held positions as Head of Trading at Investec and Macquarie
Nicholas is a Knowledge lawyer in the Corporate department. He is a specialist in company law, with a particular interest in corporate transparency. Nicholas supports fee earners with technical questions and keeps the firm's lawyers and clients up to date on corporate law developments. His role also includes developing the Corporate department's precedents and delivering and coordinating training. Nicholas is a member of the Quoted Companies Alliance Legal Expert Group.
Before joining Mishcon de Reya, Nicholas spent nine years at a magic circle firm, working in its London, New York and Hong Kong offices. His practice included mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, joint ventures and general corporate advisory work.
Junayd is a policy and advocacy professional at Euroclear UK & International, where he covers a broad range of key financial services topics, including private markets. He is also a member of the UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce, serving as Secretariat and contributing towards the delivery of the industry’s transition to T+1 settlement. Prior to joining Euroclear, Junayd held various roles in government, including at HM Treasury, and also worked in capital markets at a trade association.
He is a senior financial services professional with 18 years of experience in product management, strategic planning, and international capital markets. He currently serves in Product Strategy at Euroclear UK & International (EUI), where he focuses on the development and implementation of EUI’s product evolution to best support the UK capital markets in its role as a Financial Market Infrastructure. Prior to joining Euroclear, Armen spent over 15 years at BNY Mellon, holding various roles across product management (Depositary Receipts), strategic planning, corporate governance, and corporate development (M&A).
